Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The documentary “Youth of the Silk Road: Uzbekistan,” focusing on cultural ties and friendship between the peoples of Uzbekistan and China, premiered in Beijing, the Dunyo news agency reported.
The film was produced with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China in cooperation with Dolphin Books, a publishing house of the China International Communications Group (CICG).
Representatives of CICG, the China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC), the National Association of Media of Uzbekistan, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China and media outlets attended the event.
During the premiere, participants highlighted the significance of the historical ties between Uzbekistan and China along the Silk Road, as well as the role of young people in the further development of relations between the two countries. Particular attention was paid to the role of the media in strengthening bilateral ties and shaping mutual perceptions between the peoples.
The documentary explores Uzbekistan-China relations through the stories of young people, focusing on their daily lives, joint work and aspirations to achieve their goals.
The film consists of two parts. The first, “The Path to Light,” focuses on new projects by the China Energy Engineering Corporation in Uzbekistan, as well as the work of young Chinese engineers and Uzbek employees of CEEC.
The second part, “Where Dreams Return,” tells the stories of Uzbek students studying and starting entrepreneurial activities in China. The film highlights their efforts to pursue their professional and personal plans.
The documentary also showcases examples of cultural exchange, trade and economic cooperation, and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and China.
Following the premiere, it was announced that the documentary would be broadcast on television channels and presented on social media platforms in Uzbekistan and China.
