Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation from Ferghana Region, led by Governor Khayrullo Bozorov, held a business meeting with representatives of the business community of South Korea’s metropolitan city of Ulsan. The sides discussed proposals for implementing joint projects in Ferghana Region, the regional administration reported.
The talks covered initiatives in industry, light industry, cosmetics production, services and professional training.
In particular, the sides discussed cooperation with KOLPING CO., LTD, which specializes in producing modern clothing and equipment for sports, tourism and active recreation. The company expressed interest in establishing relevant cooperation in Ferghana Region.
Representatives of Ulsan Pipe Cleaning, Carpos and HANKEI HOLDINGS also presented project proposals in industrial production, cosmetics manufacturing and other areas. The participants discussed opportunities to implement the projects in Ferghana, establish cooperation with local entrepreneurs and organize production.
Particular attention was paid to human capital development. Participants proposed establishing a centre in Ferghana Region to train people in modern professions, organizing Korean-language and in-demand professional training for young people, and facilitating the placement of qualified specialists for legal employment in the Republic of Korea.
Khayrullo Bozorov supported the initiatives presented and invited South Korean entrepreneurs to visit Ferghana.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed to work out specific parameters for each project, identify local partners and move the agreements reached towards practical implementation.
