Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan's Ferghana region intends to expand cooperation with Turkish entrepreneurs in the fields of ceramics, traditional craftsmanship, and tourism, following high-level bilateral discussions.

Ferghana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov met with Husamettin Sabri, head of Turkish company Kası Cini Seramik, and Yasin Çelik, head of Yasin Çelik Collection. The meeting focused on advancing commercial relations between the Ferghana region and Turkish business representatives, alongside evaluating prospective joint projects. Sabri outlined a series of project proposals designed for implementation in the Ferghana region.

A primary topic of discussion centered on combining the heritage of the Rishtan school of ceramics with modern Turkish design practices and manufacturing techniques. The parties explored plans to establish a craftsmanship school and a specialized ceramics gallery, foster direct partnerships with local artisans, and introduce new initiatives within the regional tourism sector.

Governor Bozorov expressed support for the initiatives and stated that the regional administration is prepared to provide practical assistance in conducting feasibility studies and executing project plans. Following the meeting, both sides agreed to work closely with relevant department heads to review organizational steps and assess implementation details.

As part of their itinerary, the Turkish business delegation visited the Rishtan district to observe the work of local master ceramicists, study the traditions of the Rishtan ceramics school, and review craft products created in the area.
