Uzbekistan and China expand cooperation in construction materials

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Prospects for cooperation between Uzbek and Chinese companies in the production of construction materials were discussed on 9 September in Tashkent at a meeting involving the Uzsanoatqurilishmateriallari Association and representatives of leading Chinese companies.

Association Chairman Ilyos Rakhimov briefed participants on the production potential of the industry.

The meeting focused on further expanding cooperation between Uzbek construction-materials companies and Chinese businesses. In particular, the sides discussed the possibility of implementing promising projects to produce window and door systems, door hardware, automated systems and solutions for facade glazing.

Another area of discussion was the localization of production in Uzbekistan. Participants also considered prospects for joint investment projects and the transfer of modern technologies.

The sides also discussed opportunities to expand export-import cooperation between companies from the two countries.
