Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — During a working visit to South Korea, Abdullo Azizov, director of Uzbekistan’s Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry, met with the management of one of South Korea’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturers specializing in oral medicines. The Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry reported this.

The sides discussed the development of Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical industry, the introduction of modern production technologies and the application of advanced Korean experience in the domestic sector.

Particular attention was paid to opportunities for localizing pharmaceutical products, implementing joint investment projects, establishing production facilities and exporting products to regional markets.

Abdullo Azizov briefed company representatives on the favourable conditions created in Uzbekistan for foreign investors, the BioPharma City pharmaceutical cluster project and opportunities to implement production projects on a “from zero to finished product” basis.
