Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Andijan Region is exploring the possibility of raising US$300 million on international capital markets through a eurobond issue by Andijan Invest Company, following talks with representatives of US investment bank Oppenheimer & Co.

The discussions focused on financing mechanisms, presenting the bonds to international investors and the effective use of financial instruments. The parties also reviewed the next steps for advancing the initiative.

The proposed issue is intended to expand investment opportunities in Andijan Region, strengthen its links with international financial markets and raise additional funding for future projects.

Following the meeting, the sides discussed further cooperation in agreed areas and the practical aspects of implementing the project.

The regional administration did not disclose the potential bond issue’s terms or the timeline for raising the funds.
