Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation from Tashkent region, led by Deputy Governor Jahongir Mamajonov, held a series of talks with representatives of Russian regions and business circles in Ferghana as part of the 3rd Council of Regions of Uzbekistan and Russia.
The meetings resulted in agreements on developing industrial cooperation, investment ties and joint projects.
During talks with representatives of the Republic of Dagestan, the sides discussed opportunities for cooperation in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and the processing of fruit and vegetable and grain products.
The sides also discussed cooperation in the textile industry, glass container production, logistics and tourism. Following the meeting, Tashkent region and Dagestan signed a memorandum of understanding.
Industrial cooperation, supplies of petrochemical products and automobile tires, the use of experience in establishing special economic zones, and the construction of logistics centers were discussed with representatives of Omsk region. Particular attention was paid to increasing the production of meat and dairy products.
With Bashkortostan, the sides reached agreements to strengthen cooperation in the chemical industry, mechanical engineering, construction materials production and agricultural processing.
The sides also agreed to hold regular B2B meetings and business forums. In addition, they plan to develop a roadmap to increase bilateral trade.
As part of the visit, G2B meetings were held with Russian companies. Participants considered investment projects to establish joint ventures in Tashkent region, develop cooperation in mechanical engineering and textiles, and supply agricultural machinery and spare parts.
Projects for glass container production and the construction of modern industrial greenhouse complexes were also discussed.
The talks were aimed at further developing trade, economic and investment ties between Tashkent region and Russian regions, expanding industrial cooperation and launching new joint projects.
