Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Russia’s Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities is ready to consider appeals from Uzbek construction companies interested in entering the Russian market. Russian Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Nikita Stasishin made the statement following a meeting of the Russian-Uzbek working group on cooperation in construction held in Ferghana. The Russian Construction Ministry’s press service reported this.
According to Stasishin, the Russian side also expects Uzbekistan to provide information on projects where the capabilities of Russian organizations could be involved.
“In this matter, I consider it important to assist our developers in establishing direct contacts with potential customers and create favorable conditions for their work,” the deputy minister said.
Russia’s Construction Ministry also said there were no obstacles to expanding supplies of products from Uzbekistan.
At the same time, the Russian side considers it important for Uzbek construction materials to remain competitive on the Russian market.
The Russian ministry is ready to publish information about Uzbek construction materials manufacturers on the resources of relevant industry organizations.
The sides also intend to develop cooperation in other areas of the construction sector. These include exchanging experience in construction expertise and supervision, as well as applying digital solutions, including building information modeling and artificial intelligence technologies.
In addition, Russia and Uzbekistan plan to expand cooperation in training personnel for the construction industries of the two countries.
Another area of cooperation involves joint research in building energy efficiency, seismic-resistant construction, construction climatology, acoustics and engineering systems.
