Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan welcomed 10.3 million foreign tourists in January–September 2026, an increase of 20.4% compared with the same period last year, according to the relevant government agency.

In September alone, 1.2 million tourists visited the country.

The most notable growth in tourist arrivals over the nine-month period was recorded from China, with the number of visits more than doubling, or rising 2.1 times. Tourist trips from Malaysia increased 1.9 times, while arrivals from Egypt and Romania grew 1.8 times and those from Indonesia by 1.7 times.

The number of tourists from Japan increased 1.5 times, from the United States by 1.4 times and from Russia by 1.3 times.

In addition, the number of tourists from Germany and the United Kingdom rose by 25%. Tourist arrivals from France increased by 21%, while those from Türkiye grew by 15%.

At the same time, exports of tourism services continued to increase. In January–September 2026, their value reached US$5.3 billion, up 51.2% compared with January–September 2025.
