South Korean tourist arrivals to Uzbekistan rise 21.7%

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan was visited by 6,385 citizens of the Republic of Korea for tourism purposes in January–February 2026, according to the National Statistics Committee.

The figure increased by 1,187 people, marking a 21.7% rise compared to the same period last year.

The majority of visits were made for travel purposes, totaling 4,682 people. A significant number of South Korean citizens also arrived to visit relatives — 987 people — while 679 individuals indicated education as the purpose of their trip.

Business visits accounted for 22 people, while 15 people came for medical treatment.
