Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- This morning, a plane from Doha (Qatar) with the national youth football team on board, which took part in the 2024 Asian Cup, landed at Tashkent airport.
On 29 April, Uzbekistan U23 defeated Indonesia in the semi-finals of the U-23 Asian Cup. Having lost to the Japanese team in the final, the Uzbekistan team took second place and qualified for the Olympic Games for the first time in history.
The official welcoming ceremony of the team at Tashkent airport was attended by officials, athletes, coaches, relatives and friends of the team members.
