Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Members of Uzbekistan’s national boxing team will hold a joint international training camp in China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region from 14 to 24 September.

During the camp, the athletes will work on their technical, tactical and physical conditioning, while also having an opportunity to study foreign opponents. The Uzbek team will additionally compete in the fourth international Belt and Road tournament.

The camp is aimed at improving the athletes’ preparation for major international competitions, developing high-level boxers and strengthening the national team’s readiness to represent Uzbekistan with distinction.

The men’s team comprises Shodiyorjon Melikuziev, Amirbek Ismoilov, Sayfiddin Sobirov, Abdulaziz Abduнаzarov, Shokhrukh Abdumalikov, Madiyar Daniyarov, Atkhamjon Mukhitdinov, Abdulaziz Jurakulov, Safarmurod Allaberganov, Samandar Khabibullaev, Gofurjon Nematov, Samir Sobirov, Shakhzod Polvonov and Ozodbek Aliev.

The men’s team will be coached by Ramz Akhmedov, Yusufjon Tursunov, Ikrom Berdiev and Ozod Khasanov.

The women’s team will be represented by Jasmin Tokhirova, Sabina Bobokulova, Zilola Yusupova, Mushtariybonu Ibrohimjanova, Rakhima Bekniyazova, Sevinch Khurramova, Aysanem Saruarova, Rukhshona Parpieva and Sobirakhon Shakhobiddinova.

The women’s coaching staff will consist of Bahodirjon Nuriddinov and Rustam Abilov. Asliddin Abdualimov will officiate the bouts.
