Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Polina Kudermetova and Maria Timofeeva have won the doubles title at the Guangzhou Open, a WTA 250 tournament held in Guangzhou, China.
In the final, they defeated Taiwan’s Yi-Hsuan Cho and Yi-Tsen Cho 7–5, 7–6 (1).
The match was decided in straight sets. Kudermetova and Timofeeva won the first set 7–5 before securing the second in a tie-break, 7–6 (1).
The Uzbek duo thus claimed the doubles title at the WTA 250 event.
