Mingeo and Traxys Discuss Critical Mineral Extraction

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bobir Islamov held an official meeting with a delegation from the American company Traxys. The foreign side was led by the corporation's Chief Executive Officer, Mark Christoff.

The negotiations, which took place on 17 June 2026, were dedicated to defining key vectors for long-term cooperation in the subsurface management sector and attracting advanced international expertise to the mining industry of the republic.

The main topic of the discussion was a detailed exchange of views on organizing the efficient extraction and subsequent deep processing of critical mineral resources.

During the conversation, the head of Mingeo emphasized that the specialized sector of Uzbekistan is completely open to building transparent and sustainable cooperative ties with reputable global players.

The minister expressed high interest in further strengthening mutually beneficial relations with Traxys, noting its status as a reliable and strategic international partner.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed mutual readiness to continue a systemic dialogue and elaborating joint initiatives in the mining and geological sphere in detail.
