Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Burjar Street in Tashkent’s Yakkasaray district has been renamed Beijing Street following a decision by the Council of People’s Deputies.
According to the decision, the proposal of the Yakkasaray district administration to rename Burjar Street, located in the Rakatboshi mahalla, as Beijing Street was approved.
The deputy mayors of Tashkent and the Yakkasaray district administration were instructed to conduct explanatory work among local residents in connection with the renaming.
The relevant authorities are also required to make the necessary changes to documents and take other measures related to the new street name.
The Tashkent City Department of the State Cadastre Chamber was instructed to complete work within two months to determine, modify and standardize the addresses of real estate properties located on the renamed street.
The Tashkent hokimiyat’s Main Department of Improvement and Landscaping was instructed to complete the installation and replacement of signs and plaques bearing the new street name within three months.
