Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and IAOM Eurasia plan to expand international cooperation in grain processing and the flour milling industry, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan said.
On 25 September, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov met with a delegation led by IAOM Eurasia Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ulusoy Mills Dr. Eren Gunhan Ulusoy.
The sides focused on further developing cooperation in grain processing and flour production. In particular, they discussed the introduction of modern technologies, the exchange of best practices and the establishment of new business contacts between Uzbek and foreign entrepreneurs.
The participants also discussed preparations for the fifth annual IAOM Eurasia Conference and Exhibition, which will be held in Tashkent on 28–29 September.
The international event is expected to address the situation and current trends in the grain and flour markets, key issues and prospects for industry development, as well as trade, logistics and regional integration. The use of modern technologies in flour production will also be a focus of the programme.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry said it was ready to provide practical assistance to local businesses to ensure their active participation in the conference and exhibition.
According to the meeting participants, the event will create opportunities for direct interaction between Uzbek producers and foreign companies, international organizations and industry specialists.
Expected areas of cooperation include studying best practices, seeking new partners and discussing prospective business projects.
The conference and exhibition are also viewed as a platform for further developing business ties in grain processing and flour milling.
