Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A trade and economic event and dialogue titled “International Sister Cities and Partner Regions of Hunan Province — 2026” was held in the administrative center of China’s Hunan province, with the participation of Jahongir Mamajonov, deputy hokim of Tashkent region, Dunyo news agency reported.
The event, organized with the support of the People’s Government of Hunan Province, brought together representatives of government agencies, chambers of commerce and industry and companies from 28 countries, as well as members of the diplomatic corps.
Jahongir Mamajonov delivered a welcoming address at the opening ceremony. The main focus was on expanding trade, economic, investment and interregional cooperation between regions of Uzbekistan and China.
The participants also discussed the implementation of new joint projects with leading Chinese companies and further strengthening direct ties between regions of the two countries.
The event included sector-specific meetings, presentations and B2B negotiations. Participants discussed the development of investment cooperation, establishing direct contacts between businesses and regional representatives, and developing new joint projects.
The event served as a platform for strengthening Hunan province’s trade and investment ties with foreign regions and identifying new areas of cooperation.
Following the meetings, agreements were reached to further develop interregional contacts and expand practical cooperation between representatives of Uzbekistan and China.
