Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency head Mukhsinkhoja Abdurakhmonov has proposed training specialists for work in Japan based on the specific needs of employers. The Migration Agency of Uzbekistan reported this.
The proposal was made during a roundtable in Japan attended by representatives of the Japan Business Federation KEIDANREN and leading Japanese companies.
Under the proposed approach, Japanese employers would be able to participate in identifying in-demand professions and qualification requirements, developing training programs and assessing candidates.
As part of cooperation with Japan, Uzbekistan Proud Academy is operating in Angren jointly with Proud Partners. More than 140 drivers are receiving free language and vocational training there.
In Tashkent, training programs are being implemented jointly with Onodera User Run and Willer Express in driving, caregiving and food service.
A Japanese language class has been opened in Karshi jointly with Orion Computer Co., Ltd. Training for specialists in the construction sector is planned at a later stage.
More than 200 Uzbek citizens are working at Shimizu Corporation facilities. Projects involving Onodera User Run, Proud Partners and Orion Computer Co., Ltd. have created at least 576 jobs.
“Our main indicator is not only the number of citizens sent to work, but also the quality of their training, compliance with contract terms, employment stability and professional growth,” Mukhsinkhoja Abdurakhmonov said.
KEIDANREN is Japan’s business federation, bringing together leading companies and industry associations across the country.
