Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A livestock complex operated by Maraqand Meat, a company established with investments from entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent Region, opened on 27 October in the village of Bobrik in Belarus’s Minsk Region, the Tashkent Region administration reported.

Investment in the project has reached US$25 million to date. Zoyir Mirzaev, governor of Tashkent Region, attended the opening ceremony during a working visit to Belarus.

The company has 14,000 hectares of land and seven livestock complexes equipped with infrastructure for keeping and breeding pedigree cattle. It also operates nearly 70 units of specialised machinery.

The farm currently has 4,500 head of cattle. The herd is expected to increase to 6,000 by January 2027 and to 10,000 by May 2027.

Speaking with investors and Belarusian partners, Mirzaev said projects of this kind demonstrated the expansion of investment cooperation and agricultural ties between the two regions.

He expressed confidence that projects of this scale would become more widespread in the future.
