Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Customs officers at the Dustlik border checkpoint in Uzbekistan's Andijan region have discovered goods with a preliminary estimated value of 2.225 billion soums that were not listed in the accompanying cargo documentation.

The goods were found during an inspection of a freight truck arriving at the checkpoint from a neighboring country.

Customs officers became suspicious while examining the vehicle's shipping documents and directed the truck to the red inspection corridor for additional checks.

During the subsequent inspection, officers established that some of the goods being transported had not been declared in the accompanying documentation.

Authorities seized 4,000 hydraulic accumulators designed for water pumps and 4,050 chainsaws intended for gardening and household work as material evidence.

The relevant documents have been prepared in connection with the detected violation.

Further inspections and verification procedures are currently underway.
