Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Non-performing loans accounted for 3.71% of the total loan portfolio of commercial banks in Uzbekistan as of 1 August 2026, according to the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to the regulator, the total loan portfolio of the country’s commercial banks reached 644,637.2 billion soums, of which 23,928.6 billion soums were non-performing loans (NPLs).
Banks with state ownership had a total loan portfolio of 421,937.2 billion soums, while their non-performing loans amounted to 16,801.7 billion soums, representing a 3.98% share.
Other banks had a loan portfolio of 222,700.0 billion soums, with non-performing loans totaling 7,126.9 billion soums, or 3.2%.
Among banks with state ownership, Microcreditbank had the highest share of non-performing loans at 9.87%, with a loan portfolio of 23,124.2 billion soums.
The figure stood at 5.84% for Business Development Bank, 4.48% for Asaka Bank and 4.09% for Halk Bank. The lowest share among this group was recorded by UzNatsBank at 3.03%.
Among other banks, TBC Bank had the highest share of non-performing loans at 13.07%, with a loan portfolio of 7,937.7 billion soums. The share stood at 10.54% for Poytaxt Bank, 7.64% for Anor Bank, 7.15% for Garant Bank and 6.61% for AVO Bank.
The lowest non-performing loan ratios among all banks were recorded by Uzum Bank at 0.0093%, Apex Bank at 0.055% and Open Bank at 0.45%.
UzKDB Bank and Octobank had no non-performing loans as of the reporting date.
