Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Cristiano Ronaldo has announced that he will no longer play for the Portugal national team after the November matches. The 41-year-old footballer made the announcement on social media.
The forward had previously been expected to receive a call-up for Portugal’s November fixtures. Those matches will now be his last appearances for the national team.
Ronaldo has represented Portugal for 23 years, making 234 appearances and scoring 146 goals. Both figures are national team records.
With Portugal, he won the European Championship in 2016 and the UEFA Nations League twice, in 2019 and 2025.
