Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Cristiano Ronaldo will miss Al-Nassr's away match against Pakhtakor in Tashkent on 2 November after being left out of the Saudi club's squad for the AFC Champions League Elite fixture.
According to Saudi sports newspaper Arriyadiyah, head coach Postecoglou has also decided to exclude defender Mohamed Simakan and winger Kingsley Coman from the squad traveling to Uzbekistan.
Instead, 18-year-old forward Abdulrahman Sufyani will be included in the Riyadh-based club's traveling squad.
The match between Pakhtakor and Al-Nassr is scheduled to take place in Tashkent on 2 November as part of the AFC Champions League Elite.
Ronaldo had been expected to travel to the Uzbek capital with his teammates, and the possibility of his appearance had generated considerable interest among local football supporters.
However, the Portuguese forward's omission from the squad means he will not feature in the upcoming encounter.
After two rounds of the competition, Al-Nassr have collected three points and sit ninth in the standings.
The Saudi club trail leaders Al-Ain by six points.
