Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Traffic police officers at Kamchik Pass found substances suspected to be narcotics on a passenger in a Nexia-2 vehicle, the Road Traffic Safety Department said.
At 9:55 a.m. on 19 September, officers at the Namangan traffic police checkpoint of the Kamchik Pass unit stopped a vehicle traveling on the “Vodiy — Tashkent” route.
During the inspection, the behavior of passenger N.U., a citizen born in 2004, aroused the suspicion of traffic police officers.
During a search conducted in the presence of attesting witnesses and witnesses, substances suspected of being narcotic in origin were found in the passenger’s oral cavity.
A brown substance with a strong odor, resembling hashish, and a white powdery substance resembling mephedrone were wrapped in a cellophane package.
The relevant materials were formally documented in accordance with established procedures. The substances found and the people in the vehicle were handed over to the Department of Internal Affairs of Pap district for further investigation.
Inspection and control measures on the country’s roads are continuing.
