Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Unigroup Navoiy, located in the Navoi Industrial Park within the Navoi Free Economic Zone, has begun shipping products from its new production facility. The first batch was dispatched on 22 September.
More than 25,000 hair care products were handed over to a distributor for sale on the domestic market. The first shipment marked one of the practical stages in the launch of the facility and the localisation of production in Uzbekistan.
The project has attracted US$60 million in investment, while the facility’s designed production capacity is 85 million units per year.
Three of the plant’s seven production lines are currently operational. Two more lines are scheduled to be commissioned by the end of 2026, with the remaining two planned for launch in 2027.
As production expands, the company plans to increase output and broaden its product range.
The next stage will be entry into foreign markets. In the longer term, the company plans to supply its products to Central Asian countries and other regions.
The project is aimed at developing local production, introducing modern technologies and increasing the export potential of Navoi Region.
