Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s regions received 14.8 trillion soums in loans under the Mahalla project in January-August 2026, with five regions accounting for 7.55 trillion soums, or more than 51% of total financing.

Tashkent received the largest volume of loans at 2.35 trillion soums. Samarkand Region ranked second with 1.51 trillion soums, followed by Tashkent Region, where lending reached 1.44 trillion soums.

The project provided 1.20 trillion soums in loans in Kashkadarya Region and 1.05 trillion soums in Ferghana Region.

Loan distribution varied across regions not only in terms of volume but also in growth compared with the same period last year.

The highest growth was recorded in Navoi Region, at 67%. In Samarkand Region, lending increased by 65%.

The project figures therefore show differing lending dynamics across Uzbekistan’s regions, with Tashkent leading in the absolute volume of loans issued, while Navoi and Samarkand regions recorded the fastest growth.
