Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Competition Committee continues systematic monitoring of advertising disseminated via information resources and social networks to ensure compliance with current legislation.
Inspections revealed violations of advertising laws in cases where bloggers with large audiences posted advertisements for betting services on their pages.
Specifically, it was established that videos featuring the trademark of the betting company Melbet, as well as scenes promoting gambling, were published by citizens Amirkhon Shamsiddinov (amirxon_uzbek) and Doniyor Ilyosov (donik_krash).
In connection with these incidents, the bloggers were brought to administrative liability in accordance with the established procedure, and relevant materials were submitted to the court.
The Committee reminds that under the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Advertising,” advertising of gambling and other games of chance is prohibited. Violations of these requirements entail liability as prescribed by law.
