Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Tremors from an earthquake in Kyrgyzstan were felt in two districts of Uzbekistan’s Namangan region during the night of 17 September, according to the Centre for Monitoring and Forecasting of Emergency Situations.
The tremors were measured at 2 points, with the epicentre located in the Jalal-Abad area.
The earthquake occurred at 01:49:39 on 17 September. It had a magnitude of 3.7 and a depth of 10 km.
In Yangikurgan district, the tremors were felt at an intensity of 2 points, at a distance of 37 km from the epicentre. In Kasansay district, the tremors were also recorded at 2 points, with the epicentre 39 km away.
The earthquake’s epicentre was located in the Jalal-Abad area of the Kyrgyz Republic, 198 km northeast of Tashkent.
The epicentre coordinates were 41.58° north latitude and 71.55° east longitude.
