Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Ferghana Region Governor Khairullo Bozorov met with a delegation led by Irina Hess, head of projects for Eastern Europe and Central Asia at International Relations of Thuringia, part of the economic development agency LEG Thüringen.
The sides discussed the current state of cooperation and prospects for its further development, the Ferghana regional administration said.
The meeting highlighted the importance of regular visits by Thuringian delegations to Uzbekistan, as well as direct contacts between regions and business representatives. According to the sides, such contacts contribute to strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation.
The participants exchanged views on expanding cooperation in promising areas, implementing new investment projects and developing direct business ties between enterprises in Ferghana Region and companies in Thuringia.
The German side confirmed its interest in further deepening cooperation with Ferghana Region. Its representatives also expressed an intention to visit the region in the future as part of a large Thuringian economic delegation and implement new joint projects.
Khairullo Bozorov noted the importance of the proposals and initiatives presented during the meeting for Ferghana Region and expressed readiness to support the development of cooperation in the areas discussed.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed to intensify mutual visits and business contacts, give cooperation new substance and expand practical engagement in promising areas.
