Uzbekistan’s Chicken Meat Imports Rise 24.8%

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan imported 39,800 tonnes of chicken meat from 18 countries worth a total of US$47.6 million in January-August 2026.

Compared with the same period last year, import volumes increased by 7,900 tonnes, or 24.8%, the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan reported.

Türkiye was the largest supplier of chicken meat to Uzbekistan during the eight-month period, accounting for 10,200 tonnes of imported products.

Russia supplied 7,200 tonnes of chicken meat, while China supplied 5,200 tonnes. Imports from Belarus amounted to 3,500 tonnes, and those from the United States reached 3,400 tonnes.

Other countries collectively supplied 10,300 tonnes of chicken meat.

Thus, total chicken meat imports to Uzbekistan reached 39,800 tonnes in January-August 2026, increasing by nearly one-quarter compared with the same period in 2025.
