Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Dildora Nasibullayeva, Head of International Relations at IT Park Uzbekistan, met with Ankit Sethi, Senior Manager for Regional Partnerships and Channel Development in the Middle East at Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (HKSTP), as part of ICT WEEK Uzbekistan 2026.
The sides discussed further cooperation in startups, artificial intelligence and research and development, IT Park Uzbekistan said.
The meeting covered support for technology companies entering new markets, closer ties between startup ecosystems, and prospects for joint work in artificial intelligence and R&D.
Particular attention was paid to the participation of four HKSTP startups in ICT WEEK Uzbekistan 2026. During their visit, representatives of the companies had already held meetings with Uzinfocom, Uztelecom and TUIT. The sides discussed opportunities for further support and assistance to the companies in entering the Uzbek market.
The participants also considered organizing visits by Uzbek startups to Hong Kong. Such trips are expected to allow companies to learn about HKSTP’s technology infrastructure, establish contacts with local companies and exchange experience with members of Hong Kong’s startup ecosystem.
Cooperation between IT Park Uzbekistan and HKSTP has been developing on a consistent basis. In July 2026, the sides signed a memorandum of understanding.
In August, a dedicated webinar was organized for HKSTP companies and startups to discuss opportunities for entering the Uzbek market. Cooperation continued in September during a visit by an IT Park Uzbekistan delegation to Hong Kong to participate in the Belt and Road Summit 2026.
HKSTP is one of Hong Kong’s key innovation platforms, focusing on research and development and deep-tech sectors.
The park’s ecosystem brings together more than 2,400 technology companies from 26 countries and more than 17,000 R&D professionals.
HKSTP’s priority areas include artificial intelligence, robotics, biotechnology, fintech, smart city solutions and advanced manufacturing.
