Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Authorities in Uzbekistan’s Ferghana Region have discussed potential joint investment projects with Saudi Arabia’s Tamimi Energy Group in the energy, agriculture and food processing sectors.
The talks took place in Riyadh during a working visit to Saudi Arabia by Ferghana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov. He met with Yahya Balkharis, the company’s general manager for commercial affairs.
Tamimi Energy Group is part of Tamimi Holding and operates in the energy, oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, water supply and industrial infrastructure sectors.
According to the information presented, the group has more than 50 years of experience delivering engineering solutions for energy and industrial facilities in Saudi Arabia and other countries.
During the talks, the parties explored opportunities to expand cooperation beyond the energy sector.
Discussions focused in particular on processing fruit and vegetable products grown in Ferghana Region, establishing modern storage and packaging facilities, launching new livestock projects, and developing energy infrastructure.
Bozorov outlined the region’s agricultural and industrial potential, investment opportunities and conditions for implementing joint projects with foreign partners.
The participants also discussed combining the Saudi company’s technological and industry expertise with Ferghana Region’s economic potential to develop mutually beneficial investment initiatives.
The areas discussed are expected to serve as a basis for further work on practical projects and the development of bilateral cooperation.
