Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and the United States have discussed further development of investment cooperation and the preparation of joint projects in priority sectors of the economy.
The meeting between Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov and US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan Jonathan Henick took place on 9 October.
The parties reviewed the schedule of planned bilateral events through the end of the year, as well as arrangements for meetings with executives of leading US companies and efforts to advance promising investment initiatives.
Particular attention was given to expanding practical cooperation in mining, energy, transport, agriculture, finance and information technology.
Following the meeting, the parties emphasised the importance of implementing joint projects in priority areas and further strengthening business ties between Uzbekistan and the United States.
