Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — From 1 to 4 April, the first "Central Asia — European Union" summit will take place in Samarkand, under the chairmanship of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
On 2 April, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the summit.
She was welcomed at Samarkand International Airport by Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and other officials. After a brief conversation, the high-ranking guest proceeded to her residence.
