Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uztemiryulkonteyner JSC has received the first batch of new 40-foot High Cube (HC) containers purchased by the company, Uztemiryulkonteyner said.
The new containers will expand the company’s fleet and increase its capacity for export, import and transit transportation. Over the next five years, the company plans to add another 2,000 containers to its fleet.
The new containers are expected to be used on international routes between Uzbekistan and China and Uzbekistan and Europe, along the CASCA+ corridor, as well as on other routes.
Alongside expanding its container and railcar fleets, the company plans to develop integrated transport and logistics services. These services will cover the entire transportation process, from preparing export cargo for shipment in Uzbekistan’s regions to delivering it to its destination.
The expansion of infrastructure will create additional opportunities for direct shipment of export cargo from Uzbekistan’s regions to international destinations.
Uztemiryulkonteyner JSC plans to continue developing container transportation and improving logistics services for exporters.
