Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekneftegaz Chairman of the Board Abdugani Sanginov met with Zhang Jiazhen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline Company Limited (TAPLine), to discuss ongoing cooperation, joint projects and future areas of partnership.
The meeting highlighted the consistent development of cooperation between Uzbekneftegaz and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). The participants also stressed the importance of the attention that the heads of the two companies are paying to strengthening bilateral cooperation.
TAPLine was described as a long-standing and reliable partner in the operations of the joint venture Asia Trans Gas.
The sides separately discussed updating the composition of the supervisory board and the internal documents of Asia Trans Gas in line with current legislation.
The talks also covered an initiative to develop the joint venture with the status of a “first-tier company”. The agenda included improving interaction and coordination between shareholders and profit distribution.
Abdugani Sanginov stressed the need to conduct a detailed assessment of the economic efficiency, costs and implementation timelines of a number of proposed initiatives, taking into account the priority tasks of the current stage.
Following the meeting, the sides confirmed their intention to continue efforts to strengthen cooperation, improve the efficiency of Asia Trans Gas and implement mutually beneficial projects.
