Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan has strengthened legal mechanisms for protecting the interests of entities operating in the agricultural sector under Law No. ZRU-1170, dated 9 September 2026.
The law introduces amendments and additions to several legislative acts, including the Law on State Duty.
Under the new provisions, the Agency for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex under the Ministry of Agriculture is exempt from paying state duty when applying to civil and economic courts.
The exemption covers applications, complaints and statements of claim filed by the agency to protect its own rights and legitimate interests, as well as the rights and legitimate interests of entities engaged in the cultivation and processing of fruit and vegetable products and greenhouse operations.
The agency will therefore be able to apply to the courts without paying state duty when acting to protect the interests of these categories of entities.
The law enters into force on the day of its official publication.
