Ferghana region and ShinWon discuss textile projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Ferghana region and South Korea’s ShinWon Corporation discussed prospects for investment cooperation and the development of finished textile production. Regional Governor Khayrullo Bozorov discussed the matter with Sung Hwan, the company’s Vice President for Industrial Strategy.

The sides discussed opportunities to use the region’s production potential to expand output of finished products with high added value, increase exports and implement joint investment projects in the textile and garment and knitwear industries.

Representatives of ShinWon Corporation were briefed on the textile industry’s production base in Ferghana region, the availability of qualified personnel and opportunities to further increase finished garment production for subsequent access to foreign markets.

The talks also focused on the use of modern technologies and international standards in finished garment production, integrating regional enterprises into international supply chains and expanding product deliveries to overseas markets.

ShinWon Corporation specializes in clothing production, the fashion industry and exports. The company produces clothing for men, women and children and provides international customers with manufacturing services under OEM and ODM models. Its products are supplied to more than 40 countries. The company also develops its own fashion brands in the domestic market of the Republic of Korea.

Khayrullo Bozorov highlighted the conditions created in Ferghana region for foreign investors and expressed the region’s readiness to support the implementation of mutually beneficial projects with ShinWon Corporation.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to examine promising areas of cooperation in detail and continue practical dialogue on partnership issues.
