Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A specialist from Uzbekistan's Research Institute of Plant Quarantine and Protection is undergoing advanced training in Poland as part of the international Phenocycle scientific project.
The training is being conducted at the Polyphenol Analysis Laboratory of Poland's Institute of Horticulture under a cooperation arrangement between the Uzbek research institution and the European organization CREA.
The programme involves the head of the laboratory responsible for introducing advanced technologies to control harmful organisms in agriculture.
The training focuses on modern methods for analysing polyphenolic compounds, conducting laboratory research and applying advanced analytical technologies.
Particular attention is being given to the use of modern laboratory equipment, alongside the development of theoretical knowledge and practical research skills.
Polyphenolic compounds play an important role in plant physiological processes and their adaptation to adverse environmental conditions.
Studying these compounds helps researchers examine how plants respond to environmental stress factors, including drought, soil salinity and temperature fluctuations.
Modern laboratory analysis methods enable scientists to determine the composition and concentration of polyphenolic compounds more accurately.
The knowledge and skills acquired through the training could contribute to further research into plant physiology and the mechanisms underlying plant resistance to environmental stress.
