Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekhydroenergo has discussed the introduction of technologies to monitor the technical condition of dams and other hydraulic structures with LinkMaster Asia, the company reported.
The meeting was held on 21 October at Uzbekhydroenergo’s Situation Centre under the leadership of Bekzod Amirsaidov, the company’s first deputy chairman of the board and chief engineer.
Representatives of LinkMaster Asia presented solutions that use sensors and measuring equipment to monitor load-bearing structures and infrastructure facilities. These systems can continuously or periodically track deformation, displacement, vibration and structural stress.
The data collected can help identify changes in the technical condition of structures in a timely manner and enable measures to be taken to prevent potential risks.
The discussions focused in particular on applying these technologies at hydropower facilities, their technical specifications and their potential integration with existing monitoring systems.
Uzbekhydroenergo highlighted the importance of monitoring dams and other high-risk facilities, particularly given the region’s seismic activity. The safe and uninterrupted operation of hydraulic structures remains a priority for the sector.
The introduction of modern monitoring systems is expected to improve infrastructure condition assessments and strengthen oversight of operational safety.
