Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and South Korean company INPRO Inc. have agreed to cooperate on digital livestock management and animal genetics, with planned investment of US$20 million.
A memorandum of understanding was signed on 19 October 2026 by Azizbek Urunov, chairman of Uzbekistan’s Committee for Food Safety, and Choi Seung-hyuk, chief executive officer of INPRO Inc.
Under the agreement, the company plans to implement a pilot project over the course of one year to introduce digital solutions for livestock management and develop agricultural genetics. Local businesses, research institutions and farms are expected to participate in the initiative. The cooperation will also include research and experimental work, as well as professional training for specialists.
During the meeting, INPRO representatives presented the Digital Livestock Global System (DLGS), a digital platform that uses radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags compliant with international ISO/ICAR standards and a cloud-based system. The technology enables real-time tracking of information on animals’ births, health status, vaccinations and movements.
According to the company, the system will help meet legal requirements for mandatory animal identification and registration, monitor the epizootic situation and improve livestock productivity.
The two sides intend to assess the pilot project’s results before determining the prospects for expanding their cooperation.
The main areas of collaboration will include digitalization of the livestock sector, development of agricultural animal genetics, and the introduction of modern technologies for livestock identification, record-keeping and monitoring.
