Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Uzbekneftegaz and Chinese company Ximile discussed joint projects, compressor equipment supplies and further cooperation, the information service of Uzbekneftegaz reported.
One of the main topics of the talks was a project to supply wellhead compressor stations for facilities operated by the Mubarek and Gazli oil and gas production departments.
Under an agreement signed in April this year, Ximile is to supply 35 sets of reciprocating compressor units for 12 wellhead compressor stations.
To date, 23 compressors have been manufactured, 17 of which have undergone testing. Another 14 units have already been shipped to the customer. The first compressor has been delivered to the construction site of the Zewarda field.
During the meeting, the sides stressed the need to accelerate production and delivery of the remaining equipment in line with the established schedule. The timely commissioning of the compressor stations is viewed as an important factor in maintaining stable natural gas production volumes.
The sides also discussed Ximile’s plans to open a representative office and service centre in Uzbekistan. This is expected to provide regular technical maintenance of the equipment, speed up the delivery of spare parts and expand the exchange of expertise between specialists from the two companies.
