Proceeds from the privatisation of Humo and the state stake in SamAuto, totalling US$145 million, have been fully transferred to Uzbekistan's budget.
Alisher Miraliev, deputy director of the State Assets Management Agency (AUGA), said this in an interview with Spot on 17 September on the sidelines of the VIII Cbonds international conference "Capital Market of the Republic of Uzbekistan".
According to Miraliev, the proceeds from the sale of SamAuto were received by the budget back in December 2025. At that time, the automotive group of the Turkish company Anadolu Isuzu acquired 75.2% of the state stake in SamAuto for US$80 million.
In addition to the transaction sum, the investor undertook to allocate a further US$80 million to the further development of the car plant.
"For SamAuto, the funds were already fully transferred to the budget last December," Miraliev noted.
At the end of December 2024, AUGA sold 100% of the shares of the National Interbank Processing Centre (NIPC), the operator of the Humo payment system, to the Paynet payment service for US$65 million, or 840.3 billion soums.
According to the AUGA deputy director, the proceeds from that transaction have also been transferred in full to the state budget.
