Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Anatoly Kalinin, head of the administration of the Minsk Free Economic Zone, met with Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Belarus Nuriddin Mamajonov on 15 September 2026.

The sides discussed joint measures to develop industrial cooperation between Belarusian and Uzbek manufacturers, according to the Minsk Free Economic Zone, as reported by sb.by.

Particular attention was paid to preparations for the Uzbek-Belarusian Interparliamentary Forum, which will be held on 29–30 September in Khiva. The forum is expected to address industrial cooperation between the two countries in detail. The administration of the Minsk Free Economic Zone is also expected to participate in the events.

During the meeting, the investment potential of the Minsk Free Economic Zone, high-tech products manufactured by resident enterprises and prospects for further development of the special economic zone were also presented.

The sides agreed to hold video conferences involving resident enterprises from Belarus and Uzbekistan. The meetings are intended to discuss specific areas and cooperation projects.

The head of the Minsk Free Economic Zone administration also called on Uzbek companies to make greater use of the zone’s facilities for implementing joint projects.

According to him, cooperation between free economic zones, taking into account existing preferences and benefits, could create conditions for launching joint innovative industrial production.
