Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The experience of Scandinavian countries in building a socially oriented state is of particular value for Uzbekistan, where such models are viewed as examples of effective governance, sustainable development, and high standards of public welfare.

This was stated during a meeting at the Agency for Strategic Development and Reform under the President of Uzbekistan with a delegation from the Swedish National Board of Trade (Kommerskollegium). The talks were led by First Deputy Director Abdulla Abdukadirov.

The Swedish delegation included Deputy Head of the Trade and Development Cooperation Department Sarah Sandelius and Project Manager Jenny Ickelberg.

Special attention was given to improving the strategic planning system, building its administrative and legal foundations, and enhancing governance efficiency and the quality of public services.

The sides also discussed the exchange of experience in developing and implementing strategic documents, introducing modern approaches to evaluating reform effectiveness, and further improving public administration mechanisms.

It was noted that Scandinavian practices are of particular interest due to their high levels of transparency, institutional stability, and socially oriented policies.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their interest in continuing cooperation and agreed to further exchange experience in governance and reform processes.
