Body of Uzbek Citizen Who Died in Türkiye Returned Home

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The body of 36-year-old Uzbek citizen Oybek Niyozov, who died in Türkiye's Bursa Province, has been returned to Uzbekistan and handed over to his family, the General Consulate of Uzbekistan in Istanbul said.

The diplomatic mission expressed its condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased, who was a native of Khorezm Region.

According to the consulate, Niyozov worked in the İnegöl district.

Representatives of the General Consulate provided the family with the necessary consular and legal assistance and coordinated organisational matters with the competent authorities of Türkiye.

With the assistance of Uzbekistan's Migration Agency and through financial support provided, the body was repatriated to Uzbekistan and handed over to the family.

The circumstances and cause of Oybek Niyozov's death are being established by the competent authorities of Türkiye in accordance with the established procedure.
