Uzbekistan Electric Vehicle Imports Surge 2.6-Fold

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — In January–June 2026, Uzbekistan imported 37,874 electric vehicles worth US$447.7 million. Compared with the same period in 2025, the import volume increased by 23,500 vehicles, or 2.6 times, according to the National Statistics Committee.

China remains the primary supplier of electric vehicles to Uzbekistan. During the first six months of 2026, 37,560 electric vehicles were imported from the PRC.

Hong Kong (Special Administrative Region of China) ranked second, supplying 141 electric vehicles to Uzbekistan.

The Republic of Korea supplied 80 electric vehicles, Germany delivered 42, and the US accounted for 21. Another 30 electric vehicles were imported from other countries.

Thus, China accounted for approximately 99.2% of all electric vehicle imports into Uzbekistan in January–June 2026.

The remaining 314 vehicles arrived from Hong Kong, South Korea, Germany, the US, and other countries.
