Uzbekistan, US Discuss Expanding Strategic Partnership

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov met with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Sameer Paul Kapur to discuss prospects for further developing bilateral cooperation. This was reported by Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov.

The two sides noted that the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States has reached a new level in recent years. According to Saidov, close dialogue between the leaders of the two countries continues to provide additional momentum for bilateral relations.

During the talks, the parties discussed ways to further deepen cooperation and preparations for upcoming engagements at various levels.

They also exchanged views on cooperation within the C5+1 format and discussed current regional and international issues.
