Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A special working group from Uzbekistan has arrived in Nizhnekamsk following a drone attack that killed and injured citizens of the republic, according to the press service of the head of Tatarstan.

On the instructions of the Head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, assistance is being provided to the Uzbek side in gathering necessary information, including the condition of those injured, as well as in organizing the transportation of the bodies of the deceased to Uzbekistan.

Relevant ministers of Tatarstan have been assigned to each issue, with coordination handled by the republic's First Deputy Prime Minister, Rustam Nigmatullin.

Prior to the repatriation of the bodies, a collective prayer service was organized at a mosque in Nizhnekamsk.

It was previously reported that Tatarstan was subjected to a drone attack on the morning of 10 August 2026. According to the press service of the head of the republic, the attack targeted industrial and civilian facilities.

Thirteen people were killed, including citizens of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. A total of 78 people sought medical assistance, 25 of whom were hospitalized.

A criminal case has been opened under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation concerning an act of terrorism, the press service of the head of Tatarstan reported.
