Uzbekistan receives 2.87 million tourists in Q1 2026
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan received 2,872,502 foreign citizens for tourism purposes in January–March 2026, according to the National Statistics Committee.
The number of incoming tourists increased by 770,000, or 36.6%, compared to the same period last year. In total, visitors arrived from 164 countries around the world.
The main tourist flow traditionally came from Central Asian countries. Kyrgyzstan ranked first with 807,095 visitors, followed by Tajikistan with 713,904 tourists and Kazakhstan with 681,921 tourists.
Significant numbers of arrivals were also recorded from Russia, with 223,285 visitors, Afghanistan with 120,184, China with 87,023, and Turkmenistan with 79,046. Uzbekistan also received tourists from Turkey, India, and the Republic of Korea.
According to official statistics, the tourism sector continues to show steady growth, reflecting the country’s expanding international appeal and ongoing development of tourism infrastructure.
